IPS University Institute was founded in 2016 with the goal of advancing the professional and personal ambitions of its students by providing a demanding, yet supportive educational experience. The Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) inspires and prepares students to become contributing citizens of the global community by educating them for professional careers in current and emerging fields within the context of an education informed by the sciences and humanities.

ACCREDITATION
Founded in 2016, as part of the Saint Monica University System, the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS), better known as IPS University Institute, is one of the leading private institutions of higher learning in the Southwest Region’s economic capital city – Kumba.
IPS University Institute is accredited by the National Commission of Private Higher Education at the Ministry of Higher Education (MINESUP), Yaounde, Cameroon. This accreditation allows IPS University Institute to train students for the award of the Higher National Diploma (HND) certificates, which themselves come from MINESUP. Additionally, IPS University Institute students can earn bachelor and master degrees from the prestigious state-owned University of Douala.
IPS Vocational Institute (IVI), which is an integral component of IPS University Institute, is authorized to offer vocational training programs and certifications in over two dozen programs spanning business, health, and technology domains.
